Southside Club Beginner Meetings

Purpose:

Hope is found here!

Do you have a problem with alcohol? Are you seeking a better way of life and desire to get sober?

An Alcoholics Anonymous Beginner meeting is a great place to begin your journey.
Beginner meetings are designed to help newcomers learn how Alcoholics Anonymous works and how it can help a person who wants to get sober and stay sober one day at a time. Also at these meetings, you will learn how A.A. started, what are the 12 steps and many other useful topics.

Each meeting introduces one of six rotating topics that are the most helpful to a person starting recovery in Alcoholics Anonymous and you are encouraged to ask questions.

Meeting Topics:

How to Stay Away from a Drink (One Day at a Time)
Alcoholism the Disease
How It Works/The 12 Steps
Pitfalls in Recovery
A.A. in Print/Sponsorship
Living Sober

Persons attending the meeting can get free pamphlets about A.A. and alcoholism and can purchase the program book Alcoholics Anonymous (Big Book), The Twelve Steps & Twelve Traditions plus other literature.

Have questions?

A Beginner meeting is a great place to ask any question about A.A. and are encouraged to do so.
